Our immediate goal is securing funding to:
- Demolish the unsafe rear structure
- Renovate the existing facility
- Launch Phase 1 community programming
- Establish the Ray of Light Community Cafe
- Create space for youth and mentorship initiatives
- Expand re-entry support services through Ray of Light R&D
- Acquire adjacent empty lots to build a transformational community complex
This is not charity. This is restoration.

Why Parramore?
Because Communities Change When Hope Moves In

Parramore has long carried the weight of poverty, violence, instability, housing insecurity, and generational hardship.
But we believe no neighborhood is beyond redemption.
Jesus consistently went where others avoided.
And we believe real ministry does not stop at preaching.
It feeds. It mentors. It teaches. It rebuilds. It creates opportunities. It walks with people.
The goal is not temporary inspiration. The goal is sustainable transformation.
CURRENT & FUTURE IMPACT INITIATIVES
Because transformation must address both physical and spiritual needs.
Mission Date
March 2024
Ray of Light Advent Ministries brought the Compassion Project to the Parramore community, providing families with essential resources, clothing and support items, spiritual encouragement, prayer, and meaningful community connection. But the impact went beyond meeting immediate physical needs. Through the preaching of the Gospel, prayer, and the opportunity to respond to Christ, lives were spiritually touched and baptisms took place—reminding us that true compassion ministers to the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

CURRENT & FUTURE IMPACT INITIATIVES
This is more than feeding people. This is restoring dignity.
Mission Since
January 2023
In partnership with Jesus Loves Me, Love Me Back, Ray of Light is committed to meeting people where they are—both physically and spiritually. Each Monday evening, we come together to provide consistent meals, encouragement, prayer, fellowship, and compassionate outreach to members of the Parramore community.
But this ministry is about more than putting food on a plate.
It is about creating a table where people feel seen, valued, welcomed, and loved. It is about building relationships that open the door for conversation, prayer, discipleship, and practical support. It is about being present in the community, consistently, faithfully, and relationally.
Every meal creates an opportunity to connect. Every conversation can restore dignity. Every prayer can plant a seed of hope.
We believe the example of Jesus calls us to care for the whole person. When someone is hungry, we feed them. When someone is hurting, we listen. When someone needs prayer, we pray. When someone needs hope, we point them to Christ.
The Monday Night Feeding Ministry is one expression of our larger commitment to the transformation of Parramore—a commitment built on the belief that lasting change begins with compassion, relationship, faith, and consistent presence.
This is ministry at the table. This is faith in action. This is love showing up.

CURRENT & FUTURE IMPACT INITIATIVES
The goal is not merely avoiding recidivism. The goal is restoration.
Mission Since
January 2023
In partnership with Ray of Light Resource & Development, Ray of Light Advent Ministries supports returning citizens as they navigate life after incarceration. Many return home facing limited support, employment barriers, housing challenges, and uncertainty about their future. Pastor Anthony Lewis understands this journey personally, bringing a firsthand perspective to the ministry of restoration. Our re-entry initiative seeks to help returning citizens rebuild their faith, identity, stability, workforce readiness, community support, and sense of purpose—not simply returning to society, but moving forward with the tools, relationships, and hope needed to build a new life.

CURRENT & FUTURE IMPACT INITIATIVES
We believe transformation happens when consistent investment meets consistent presence.
Mission Since
January 2026
The Parramore Community Transformation Project is focused on long-term restoration through youth engagement, mentorship, workforce development, faith-based outreach, wellness, housing-centered initiatives, and safe spaces for the community to gather. Through consistent presence and investment, we seek to create meaningful opportunities for young people and families to grow, connect, and thrive.
As part of this vision, Ray of Light Advent Ministry partners with CFA Fishing to create youth-focused fishing and outdoor experiences, supported by adult volunteers who provide mentorship, encouragement, and positive community engagement. These events use fellowship, recreation, and relationships as opportunities to connect young people with caring adults and create pathways toward greater confidence, purpose, and community involvement.

Why Must I Give?
Because restoration requires resources.
Because communities do not change accidentally.
Because feeding families costs money.
Because re-entry support takes infrastructure.
Because young people need safe spaces.
Because ministry requires action.
Because hopelessness should never have the loudest voice in a neighborhood.
Your support directly helps us:
- Feed the community
- Support returning citizens
- Provide outreach programming
- Renovate facilities
- Expand mentorship initiatives
- Create sustainable community impact
- Build a long-term transformational center in Parramore
Every dollar becomes ministry. Every volunteer becomes impact. Every partnership becomes part of the testimony.

Why Your Support Matters

Why is Ray of Light Advent Ministries raising funds?
Because this vision is bigger than a building—it is about restoring lives and strengthening the Parramore community.
God has already provided the land and established the vision. What we need now are partners who will help us transform that vision into a place where people can find hope, support, opportunity, and a pathway toward lasting restoration.
Your partnership can help us build what Parramore deserves.
Why Parramore?
Because communities do not change by accident.
Parramore is a community with tremendous history, strength, and potential—but there are also real needs that require consistent investment, compassionate service, and sustainable solutions.
We believe the church should be present where the need is greatest.
Our goal is to help create a place where faith meets practical action and where people can receive the support they need to move forward.
What will my donation support?
- Feeding and community outreach
- Support for returning citizens
- Discipleship and faith-based programming
- Facility renovation and development
- Mentorship initiatives
- Workforce development
- Community programming
- Housing-related support
- The development of a long-term transformational center in Parramore
Every contribution helps turn vision into action.
Why does the building matter?
The building is a tool for ministry.
Our property can become a safe place for gathering, discipleship, community resources, re-entry support, mentorship, outreach, and fellowship.
The vision includes transforming the property into a community-centered space that can serve people today while creating infrastructure for generations to come.
We are not simply renovating a building. We are creating a platform for restoration.
What is the vision for the property?
The planned development includes:
- A community café and gathering space
- Discipleship and Bible study space
- Re-entry support
- Mentorship programs
- Workforce development
- Community outreach
- Housing-related support
- Youth and family programming
- Space for partnerships and community initiatives
What is the immediate need?
Phase 1 focuses on the demolition of the rear structure and renovation of the existing building at 516 S. Parramore Avenue, creating the foundation for the community café and programming connected to the broader Ray of Light mission.
The property is here. The vision is here. Now we need the resources to build.
How does Ray of Light already serve the community?
Ray of Light has already been active in the community through initiatives such as:
- Monday night feeding ministry
- Community outreach
- The Compassion Project
- Baptisms and Gospel ministry
- Re-entry support
- Community fellowship events
- Fish fry initiatives
- Partnerships with other organizations and ministries
The next step is creating the infrastructure to make that impact more consistent, sustainable, and expansive.
How does re-entry fit into the vision?
Returning citizens often leave incarceration facing enormous barriers to employment, housing, stability, community acceptance, and purpose.
Ray of Light believes restoration must extend beyond the prison gates.
Through its connection with Ray of Light Resource & Development, the ministry seeks to help returning citizens rebuild their lives through faith, support, opportunity, mentorship, and community.
How can I help if I cannot make a large financial donation?
You can still make a meaningful difference.
You can:
- Give what you can
- Volunteer your time
- Provide professional services
- Donate needed resources
- Sponsor a program
- Connect us with potential funders
- Introduce us to businesses or churches
- Share the vision with your network
- Pray for the ministry and the community
A movement is built through many hands—not one person’s contribution.
Can churches, businesses, and organizations partner with Ray of Light?
Absolutely.
We are seeking Kingdom-minded churches, businesses, nonprofits, foundations, community organizations, contractors, professionals, and individuals who want to participate in the transformation of Parramore.
Partnership opportunities can include financial sponsorship, programming, volunteer service, professional expertise, resources, and strategic collaboration.
What does my support ultimately help build?
It helps build more than a facility.
It helps build:
- A safe place.
- A place of discipleship.
- A community resource hub.
- A re-entry support center.
- A café and gathering space.
- A place for mentorship.
- A pathway to workforce development.
- A place for outreach.
- A foundation for housing support.
- A platform for faith-based transformation.
This is the next chapter of the Ray of Light story.
